As a Dillsburg resident, you have Haar’s Drive-Inn, one of the few remaining drive-in theaters in the U.S., in your backyard. Although we’re located so close to the thriving metropolis of Harrisburg, Dillsburg is a farm community at heart. Quay House meets National Register Criterion C in the area of Architecture as an important northern York County example of 19th-century domestic architecture influenced by Greek Revival, Italianate, and Queen Anne styles. The residence is an excellent illustration of a mid-19th century townhouse and displays a number of high-style features. About 1880 Italianate windows and door hoods, as well as an ornate two-story bay window and a Queen Anne spindlework porch frieze, were added to the original Greek Revival facade and south elevations to give the house a more currently fashionable appearance.
